Do you have any stories you would like to share from the old high school days? The statute of limitations should be long gone by now. I just found out that Kathy Georges has passed she was the only friend I really had. I would go camping with her and her parents, we had a blast, she would come to my house and I would go to hers. we lost contact for awhile, I saw her many yours ago and she had two boys. But life goes on and I have not seen her since. It breaks my heart that we did not keep in touch, she will be forever in my heart

Every once in a while I meet someone who went to Mira Loma within the last 25 years and had no idea that in the 70’s, we had a smoking area for students, open campus, a driving course, The Room, and a free spirited teacher who loved to hug trees, to name a few. They don’t believe it :)

I remember that the smoking area was at the corner of Engle and Norris right across from the back parking lot entrance. It was on the other side of the street under the olive trees, up against the ranch style fence, in front of someone's house. Hahaha....the funniest thing that happened about the smoking is that during a morning homeroom announcement, either the principal, or vice principal Swoggart, admonished the whole school for being stoned in class! He said that he could smell pot smoke on his way into the office. Lol

The official smoking area was next to the ceramic room. Remember teachers would come out during break and bum smokes off students and vice versa?
